Games often include ridicioulously long intro movies from all sponsors and make a quick gaming session impossible.
There is a way in Borderlands (which includes a whopping 8 Videos) to remove them all.
Here is how.
Open this file in an editor:
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Borderlands\WillowGame\Config\WillowEngine.ini

Look for [FullScreenMovie] and below this, there are many entries that start with: StartupMovies=….

For each line with StartupMovies= add a ; in front of it, so it looks like this:

;StartupMovies=Gearbox_logo
;StartupMovies=NVidia
;StartupMovies=Loading
;SkippableMovies=2K_logo
;SkippableMovies=Gearbox_logo
;SkippableMovies=Attract
;SkippableMovies=NVidia

This should skip any intro videos and let you start the game with no intro (also called nointro patch) or skip intro.
